Ayanova will not start - nothing in log

uninstalled and reinstalled Ayanova -  same problem

Now What?

Hi
  1. What version of AyaNova are you attempting to run? As you can not run the program to see what the version is via Help -> About AyaNova, instead open Windows Explorer and move to the AyaNova program folder (i.e. C:\Program Files\Ground Zero Tech-Works Inc\AyaNova), right-click on the AyaNova.exe executable, select Properties, select Version
  2. Has AyaNova run previously?
  3. What occurred between the time AyaNova did run last and now?
  4. Did you reboot between uninstalling and reinstalling?

Unfortunately the error doesn't give much information on what the issue is. It could be something with your database, it could be something with your program files, or something else entirely

I would recommend that you troubleshoot, for example:

  1. If AyaNova is configured for network use, does this same error occur on another computer, or does it only occur on this computer
  2. Run a repair on your Microsoft.NET Framework 2 (see http://forum.ayanova.com/FindPost3228.aspx for how to), reboot - does that now fix it?
  3. Uninstall AyaNova 3.6, download again from http://www.ayanova.com/olderdownloads.htm and install, and see if that now fixes it.
  4. Restore the AyaNova database from backup from back when you were able to access.
