| We have several hundred pieces of equipment at several hundred locations and we are having difficulties trying to identifiy equipment when creating workorders. Currently it appears that the "Units" dropdown menu displays the equipment MODEL and SERIAL NUMBER, however this is not enough information to distinguish the equipment. We have created a workaround by adding a short description before the serial number when creating new units but this causes issues of its own. Is there any way to change the default display settings for the "Units" dropdown menu so that the equipment DESCRIPTION and SERIAL NUMBER is displayed instead of the equipment MODEL and SERIAL NUMBER?

| Hi In the Global Settings (via the Administration navigation pane) is where you can set the Unit Display Format. Select the display format you want, Save, exit out of AyaNova and log back in. You have a number of different display options. The Description field from the Unit entry screen is not an option. But all of the following are: - Serial number
- Vendor, model name, serial number
- Vendor - serial number
- Model name, serial number
- Serial number, model name, vendor
- Serial number, model name
- Model number, model name, serial number
- Model name, model number, serial number

Also note that what units are available for selection in a service workorder depends on the client selected for that workorder. For example, you may want to setup each location as a "client" and than specify in the Unit entry screen the "client" for that equipment - thereby minimizing the list of units selectable in a service workorder. - Joyce

| Hi again I also wanted to remind you of the Search Database feature in AyaNova where you can also create a workorder from there You can enter any text of the unit's entry screen - even part of its serial number or description field if needed - and than right-click on the Unit source and select Workorder to quickly create a workorder for it.
